Song Saturday: Traci Lords {Double Dose}

How's it going my gumdrops? Out of curiosity, did anyone watch ABC's Celebrity Wife Swap this past week?

I hadn't watched it, since the time Dee Snider's spouse and Flava Flav's girlfriend had to trade places. That was several years ago.

I just happened to be watching my local ABC news the other day and they announced that Jackee Harry and Traci Lords were featured on ABC's Celebrity Wife Swap.

I could NOT  help laughing at my local news reporters referring to Traci Lords as being a "Pop Icon." I'm sorry, but they need to stop.

Most people know Traci Lords as being "The Porn Queen." I've never watched any of her pornos, but I did hear people talk about her being a porn star 2 decades ago.

Even though she has evolved into becoming a legitimate actress, writer, director, AND singer over the last 25 years, Traci Lords still has the reputation of being a nude model at 15 years old, then becoming a porn star.

I immediately noticed that Traci and her 3rd husband wanted to hide her scandalous reputation on Celebrity Wife Swap.

Both wanted to hide Traci Lords' past, especially since she was raped at 10 years old by her 16-year-old friend, then molested at 12 years old by her mother's cocaine-dealing boyfriend, shortly after.

By the time Lords was 14, she was pregnant by her high school boyfriend and began looking for a job to pay for her abortion.

Roger Hayes, who was her molester (He molested Traci in her sleep) and mother's cocaine-dealing boyfriend, was responsible for Traci Lords becoming a nude model.

That sexual predator pretended to be her "step-father" and drove her to Jim South's World Modeling Talent Agency. Talk about a lowlife!

Traci Lords' mother had atrocious taste in men and was the root cause of her suffering. This explains why she's had so many dysfunctional relationships.

Traci and her current husband keep their poor son living an OUTRAGEOUSLY sheltered life. They don't allow him to have a TV OR toys! What type of childhood is THAT?

I cannot help reiterating, that Traci Lords and her 3rd husband tried their hardest to hide her past.

I sympathize and empathize with Lords' shame, especially when she auditions for acting gigs. However, everyone does NOT  know about her as a talented entertainer in general.

Traci Lords' husband was highly defensive about her past, when Jackee Harry had to spend time with her own friends. You know, considering that he is Traci's current husband, he has EVERY right to be protective of her.

Although, Lords' husband and his friends had no reason to be complete assholes to Jackee, throughout the entire 4th season premiere of Celebrity Wife Swap. Men of said ilk expect for women to be submissive to them.

Throughout that entire experiment, I KNOW Jackee bit her tongue really hard because I wanted to teleport myself through the TV screen and kick their asses.

Traci's husband's friends were rude about the way Jackee was trying to clean and cook their fish, after THEY caught it.

Jackee Harry is a diva. She not only played a diva 2-3 decades ago, when she played Sandra Clark on 227, but is also a real life diva.

Chances are highly great, that she thought to herself, "Cook it your DAMN self! Do I look like a maid to you?" I know that's what she was thinking!

Seeing the way Traci Lords' current husband and his asshole friends treated Jackee, makes me feel GLAD to still be single.

Enduring people's annoying ass friends, spouses, in-laws, etc. can be downright sickening, especially when they assume that everybody is going to be their personal doormat and impose on others.

Despite Traci Lords' scandalous reputation as an underage porn star from the 1980's, as I mentioned earlier, she began working on her music career by 1995.

In fact, the instrumental version of her song, "Control" was featured on the soundtrack for the movie, Mortal Kombat. I have owned the Mortal Kombat Soundtrack, for the last 20 years

Wow, do I feel old. Where has the time gone?

Traci Lords' debut album, 1000 Fires did amazingly well with her first 2 singles, "Control" and "Fallen Angel." She was also the opening act for the Lollapalooza after party.

Before I forget, I just want to say that we all have "skeletons" in our own closets, including ME. Therefore, I cannot be extremely judgmental of Traci Lords.

Even though today's blog heavily focuses on the talented Traci Lords' scandalous past as "The Porn Queen," I still enjoy watching her in movies, TV shows, and music videos.

Anyway, here's a double dose of her first 2 singles, "Control" and "Fallen Angel" for today's Song Saturday.

1) Traci Lords "Control" 1000 Fires (1995)

2) Traci Lords "Fallen Angel" 1000 Fires (1995)

Song Saturday: Puddle Of Mudd Block

How's it going lurkers? You may recall that there wasn't a Song Saturday blog, last week. Last Saturday, I shared details about my mother's seizure on Wednesday, April 15th. This has been another chaotic week. Luckily, there hasn't been any life threatening issues.

Compared to last week, my mother has been doing much better. Yesterday was my youngest aunt's birthday and we'll be celebrating my mom's birthday tomorrow.

Once April is over, I will be so glad. You seriously have no idea.

Speaking of last Wednesday, it appears that Puddle Of Mudd's frontman Wes Scantlin is having a worse time than the rest of us.

First and foremost, Puddle Of Mudd has been around, since The Grunge Era. They released a single last September titled, "Piece Of The Action."

On April 15, 2015, which was on the same day my mother had her seizure, our local NBC (Channel TMJ4) reported that Puddle Of Mudd's Wes Scantlin was arrested.

He was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct after an incident at Milwaukee’s Mitchell International Airport, which happens to be in my county of WI.

[TMJ4:] "Puddle Of Mudd's Vocalist Wes Scatlin Arrested" (2015)

Wes Scantlin really needs to get his shit together. I always enjoyed listening to Puddle Of Mudd's music. My mother even bought their Come Clean album, when I was in my college freshman year. She loves their song, "Blurry."

Because I normally do not watch TMJ4, I had no idea about Scantlin's arrest, until I read about it on HardDrive Radio's Dirt page.

According to HardDrive Radio's blogger, Roxy, Scantlin's booking agency told Blabbermouth that the vocalist was NOT  in jail at the moment and that the band “will be performing all shows, including last weekend and all upcoming shows.”

Puddle Of Mudd was scheduled to perform on April 16th in Wilmington, NC. Supposedly, the sheriff’s office had NOT  released any further details regarding the incident and the nature of what happened has yet to be disclosed.

Wes Scantlin has been developing quite a rap sheet much like Scott Weiland from Stone Temple Pilots.

BTW:  Those 2 have a connection to each other but I will explain more about Scantlin's connections later. Over these last 3 years, I have read news about him at least several times online.

Between September 4, 2012 and April 15, 2015, Puddle Of Mudd's Wes Scantlin has:

* been arrested while traveling on a cross country flight from Boston to L.A. BECAUSE he was high on cocaine. The airplane made an emergency landing in Austin, TX where he was charged with public intoxication.

* domestic violence charges both in 2012 and 2013. In May 2013, Wes Scantlin pulled his ex-wife by her arm or shirt and began dragging her.

* Last April 16th, during a show at Trees Dallas, Wes lip synched and had a meltdown on stage. He threw a microphone and beer into the audience. This was along with threatening and attempting to PHYSICALLY ATTACK several audience members at a show in Scottsdale, AZ. Also, Wes Scantlin was criticized for his lip synching, during the same show.

* As mentioned in the preceding video, he was arrested at Denver International Airport for riding on the baggage carousel and ending up in the restricted area, on January 16, 2015.

* April 2, 2015, Scantlin had ANOTHER meltdown. Earlier this month, he smashed his guitar, headphones, and part of the drummer's kit.

I wonder if Wes Scantlin managed to pay Ryan Braun a visit, before he was arrested at Mitchell International Airport here in WI.

Recently, I learned that Wes is the cousin of Miss Missouri Teen USA's Melana Scantlin and Ryan Braun. Here's where it gets more interesting:

Ryan Braun is the baseball right fielder for the Milwaukee Brewers. Braun has also been in the local news, during these last 2 years.

Ryan Braun LIED to his fans and everyone in the media about using "performance-enhancing drugs."

Talk about family scandals! Since it's Song Saturday, I thought I would share 3 of Puddle Of Mudd's music videos.

One of them is my mother's favorite ("Blurry"). Another is my favorite ("Heel Over Head") and it has been stuck in my head all week.

Last but surely NOT  the least, Puddle Of Mudd's new single.

1) Puddle Of Mudd "Blurry" Come Clean (2001)

2) Puddle Of Mudd "Heel Over Head" Life On Display (2003)

3) Puddle Of Mudd "Piece Of The Action" [NEW SINGLE] (2014)

Song Saturday: Hole's Asking For It

How's it going my gumdrops? Right now, I want to warn you that today's Song Saturday blog will mostly be a LONG and well deserved rant. Hopefully you will be "enlightened" by today's blog.

Regardless if you're male or female, you should be able to empathize with my current situations.

For the last several weeks, our house has already been under construction. To add to my list of problems, I have been forced to endure online sexual harassment. It's starting to aggravate me, again.

Around 4 years ago, I joined Facebook and refused to post selfies. I did not want to endure creeps stalking me again like the time I had 2 creeps stalking me at Parkside, when I was a DJ. I typically look terrible in pictures, anyway; I'm NOT  always photogenic. Usually, I look more attractive in person.

It wasn't until 2 years ago, that I uploaded my 10-year high school class reunion picture. It has my high school friend/classmate/class president in it, since she was taking our selfies.

As an adult, that is by far my best picture EVER because it best captured my physical appearance. It was like staring at my own mirror reflection! However, I don't normally wear as much heavy make-up in person.

Because I have a naturally large bust size, I've been forced to endure creeps on and offline trying to get into my pants. Otherwise, they want to use my picture as "fap material."

If you don't know what the term "fap" means, that's basically the noises being made, during masturbation.

This is in addition to Baby Boomer and Gen Y creeps typically wanting to see me topless and/or wanting to have cyber sex with me.

The cat-calling and wolf whistling by sleazebags is bad enough in person, especially when I'm NOT  wearing anything "provocative," "kinky," or "erotic."

IT'S NOT HAPPENING!

It doesn't matter if I'm on Facebook, Horror-Punks, Blogster, Adult Swim, etc, etc. When I'm not being forced to handle haters and opportunists, I must always endure HIGHLY entitled creeps.

Highly entitled creeps demanding that I send TOPLESS selfies, them expecting me to have CYBER sex with them, OR the desperate man-children constantly private messenging me because they believe they have a chance to date me? I really don't know what aggravates me more.

All this bullshit is partly why I QUIT  dating men going on 10 years ago, next April 6th. I'm far beyond disgusted with sleazebags friending and subscribing to me on websites besides my own site with their perverted agendas.

Yesterday morning, I became even more annoyed in that Metal thread I recently joined on Adult Swim. I went into it to respond to an Adult Swim Helper's comment. Then, I scrolled to the 3rd page.

Adult Swim Helper: "You should have snapped a picture of that MILF."

Tumblr Blogger: "Haha I should have! I will say she had at least a 36 C going on bro no joke."

A veteran Adult Swim poster shared a link to his Tumblr blog and their dialogue above was something I SHOULD'VE expected considering that Adult Swim is primarily run by crooked man-children.

Those 2 sleazy comments stand out to women. Men of certain ilk online probably assume I'm some militant feminazi "overreacting."

Being a female Metal fan or a musician, we don't always get the amount of respect we deserve because there are women with NO self-respect, who LOVE being objectified for male attention.

Since Metal has always been a male dominated music genre, most people will assume that female fans are either tomboys, or groupies.

Much like asshole Gamers, female Metal fans MUST  prove to Metal zealots that we're fans by getting interrogated with questions about our favorite band, album, song, etc.

Luckily, no Adult Swim poster interrogated me about any of those topics. In fact, most of the current posters overlooked me in that thread. No surprise. It's Adult Swim and it's a male-dominated thread consisting of inconsiderate man-children.

Judging by the atmosphere, I think I will stop posting in that thread. It somewhat has a sleazy, Metal dive bar environment to it already, whether they want to admit it or not.

Even if I had the time, money, and patience, I wouldn't attend ANY concert, including a Metal concert.

Domestic terrorists, wife beaters, rapists, serial killers, etc. generally love camouflaging themselves into crowds.

I'll buy the merchandise and support their content. Although, regularly enduring creeps as a woman is already a headache.

The more I think about creeps that I have to constantly deal with both on and offline, the more I think about Hole's song "Asking For It." "Asking For It" is on the band's 1994 album, Live Through This. Hole isn't a Metal band, but I've loved this song, since I was 12 years old.

According to Kurt Cobain's widow, Courtney Love, "Asking For It" is about mostly rape and feminism. She wrote the song, after she was molested and had her clothes torn off her, while stage diving at the Queen Margaret Union in Glasgow, Scotland. That was in 1991.

In more detail, Courtney Love explained:

"We had just gotten off tour with Mudhoney, and I decided to stage-dive. I was wearing a dress and I didn't realize what I was engendering in the audience. It was a huge audience and they were kind of going ape-shit. So I just dove off the stage, and suddenly, it was like my dress was being torn off of me, my underwear was being torn off of me, people were putting their fingers inside of me and grabbing my breasts really hard, screaming things in my ears like "pussy-whore-cunt". When I got back onstage I was naked. I felt like Karen Finley. But the worst thing of all was that I saw a photograph of it later. Someone took a picture of me right when this was happening, and I had this big smile on my face like I was pretending it wasn't happening. So later I wrote a song called "Asking For It" based on the whole experience. I can't compare it to rape because it's not the same. But in a way it was. I was raped by an audience, figuratively, literally, and yet, was I asking for it?"

After reading her comments, it somewhat reminds me of those years of being forced to attend school pep rallies, during 6th-9th grade.

Having to endure random boys groping and poking me from behind, during pep rallies contributed to my panic attacks as a teenager.

Once I reached 10th grade, I ditched EVERY pep rally. Anyway, here is Hole's "Asking For It" for today's Song Saturday.

Song Saturday: Scott Weiland VS. Chester Bennington? You Decide!

How's it going my gumdrops? I just finished reading both Chester Bennington from Linkin Park and Scott Weiland from Stone Temple Pilots' biographies. Both vocalists have more in common with each other than I think most people realize.

Chester and Scott have pasts with drug abuse and being victims of sexual abuse.

In addition to coping with drug and sexual abuse, they have performed and released albums with Stone Temple Pilots.

Speaking of Stone Temple Pilots, the band has been feuding with Scott Weiland for YEARS.

In 2012, The DeLeo Brothers in STP claimed that he no longer has the same vocal range and versality that he used to have. They also claimed, that Scott badly performed their classic songs, during rehearsals.

Scott Weiland and Stone Temple Pilots were supposed to celebrate the band's 20th anniversary, 2 years ago.

They fired Scott, after he said he would be performing their songs on his solo tour.

Then, The DeLeo Brothers accused Scott of "taking money away from the band and essentially touring under the promotion of the STP brand."

Last year, adding insult to injury, Stone Temple Pilots not only fired Scott Weiland as their vocalist, but also replaced him with Chester Bennington from Linkin Park. Talk about a joke and a major slap in the face!

Scott Weiland resents the fact, that The DeLeo Brothers replaced him and want possession of STP songs, which he wrote.

Scott Weiland is the main reason why they are famous.

Speaking as a a longtime Stone Temple Pilots fan, I believe The DeLeo Brothers are jealous, money hungry, divisive, and downright sickening as musicians.

Yes, Scott has serious drug problems. Who doesn't in the entertainment industry?

I am not condoning drug abuse. However, if it weren't for Scott Weiland, STP wouldn't be famous today. I remember in 1997, 3/4 Stone Temple Pilots had a side "project" called, Talk Show.

Listening to Talk Show was like listening to a generic and embarrassing version of STP.

I noticed that Talk Show didn't last very long because Scott Weiland was NOT  the vocalist. I own most of Stone Temple Pilots' albums from Core to No.4

I refused to buy their 5th album, which released in 2001 because it was really bad. I believe Scott Weiland's drug problems hurt the album and the band.

With that being said, STP should've stayed disbanded all these years instead of trying to chase after a dollar.

If The DeLeo Brothers wanted to make Chester Bennington their next lead singer, they should've formed another band.

No disrespect to Chester Bennington, but he does NOT fit Stone Temple Pilots.

I know being Stone Temple Pilots' replacement vocalist is a dream come true for him, since he was a Stone Temple Pilots fan himself. Regardless, Chester Bennington CANNOT replace Scott Weiland.

It's not that Chester lacks singing ability. If anything, he has been labeled as "Chester Bennington from Linkin Park." Linkin Park is from a different era of Rock Music than Stone Temple Pilots.

Stone Temple Pilots was a Grunge/Alternative Rock band from the 1990's whereas Linkin Park is a Rap-Rock/Alternative Metal band with some Electronica from 2000.

We are talking about 2 different sub-genres of Rock Music and a generational gap between fans, that Chester can't fill.

Scott is old enough to be his older brother. This is excluding the fact, that Chester is really stiff, timid, gawky-looking, and sounds prepubescent compared to Scott being hyperactive, flamboyant yet masculine, and sounds like an older man, NOT  a teenage choir boy.

Imagine Steve Smith from American Dad. Every time I see Chester Bennington performing with Stone Temple Pilots, while trying really hard to imitate Scott Weiland's mannerisms, I see Steve Smith.

You know, Stan's song who loves singing on Amerian Dad? That's like Chester performing with STP.

I reiterate, Chester Bennington is NOT  a bad singer. I don't hate him at all because I DO like some Linkin Park songs.

Chester is just incompatible with Stone Temple Pilots and there is a generational gap between the STP and Linkin Park fans; He's unable to assimilate with Scott Weiland's band.

Chester Bennington may have won over SOME Stone Temple Pilots fans, but he is not going to win over the majority. I am a much bigger fan of the original STP with SCOTT Weiland than the band with Chester Bennington as their replacement vocalist.

With that being said, here are 2 different concert performances of Stone Temple Pilots' "Big Empty" for today's Song Saturday.

On MTV's Unplugged, Scott Weiland acoustically performed "Big Empty" with STP in 1993. A few months ago, Chester Bennington performed that same song with them.

Linkin Park's Chester Bennington

You decide!

Song Saturday: Justin Timberlake's MTV VMA Performances

This blog was originally published on Blogster August 31, 2013.

How's it going my hybrid Blogsterians? I briefly want to say thank you for your concern about my recent condition.

Last night, I had to go lie down for a bit because my neck started spasming. I know it has been 4 days, since the time I was rear-ended on Tuesday. It seems like I have a new pain almost everyday. My back has not been hurting AS much as both my neck and right side of my waist have been hurting yesterday. My mother was talking about having me return for another doctor's appointment.

Honestly, I don't want to leave my house to see another doctor. He/she's not going to do or tell me anything different from Tuesday evening. Besides, I don't want to be on the road again. I am STILL trying to adjust from the trauma of being hit.

My family does NOT understand what I am going through physically, emotionally, and mentally. Anyway, that's not what I meant to discuss today.

Since it is Song Saturday and the media will NOT shut up about Miley Cyrus' 2013 MTV VMA performance, it has completely overshadowed Justin Timberlake's.

Considering this year's MTV VMA's ratings rose by 66% compared to last year's (mostly for Justin Timberlake and N'Sync ), I think it is only fair to give their (mostly his) performance more acknowledgment.

After all, most watched the VMA's because Justin was receiving the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award and N'Sync fans wanted to see a reunion.

Even though N'Sync did take the stage for at least 1 minute, it really was not much of a reunion. Earlier, I tried to find the 2001 MTV VMA performance on YouTube, that N'Sync did with the late Michael Jackson in its entirety for their song, "Dirty Pop."

N'Sync Featuring Michael Jackson "Dirty Pop" 2001 MTV VMA's.

For those who don't know much about Justin Timberlake, Michael Jackson has always been a major influence on him. In fact, Timberlake always idolized MJ.

Michael Jackson's influence is reflected throughout most of Justin Timberlake's singing and dancing. In addition, I DID find N'Sync's 2000 MTV VMA performance.

By 2002, Justin Timberlake debuted his solo career and has been successful ever since 11 years ago. He is highly fortunate to still be this successful all these years later.

Most Boy Band members, that become soloists, are cursed because Boy Bands have at least a 5-year shelf life. I think Justin Timberlake broke that curse (at least for himself) because he collaborated with Michael and Janet Jackson, as well as many Rappers over the last decade.

Anyway, here's a look at Justin Timberlake before and after his days of being an N'Sync member:

1) N'Sync "This I Promise You"/"Bye Bye Bye"/"It's Gonna Be Me" Medley 2000 MTV VMA's

2) Justin Timberlake Medley 2013 MTV VMA's

Songs Featured In 2013 MTV VMA's Medley:

A. "Take Back The Night"

B. "SexyBack"

C. "Like I Love You"

D. "My Love"

E. "Cry Me A River"

F. "Señorita"

G. "Rock Your Body"

H. "Pusher Love Girl"/"Gone" Samples

I. "Girlfriend" Featuring N'Sync

J. "Bye Bye Bye" Featuring N'Sync

K. "Suit & Tie"

L. "Mirrors"

I can tell that Justin was somewhat struggling with his performance because he has been touring, since earlier this year to promote his latest album.

I wish to talk to you all very soon!

Song Saturday: Before The MTV VMA's & Music Completely Died

This blog was originally published on Blogster August 24, 2013.

How's it going my hybrid Blogsterians? I have been taking it easy on my end compared to last week. I don't know how many of you know this but tomorrow night, MTV will be airing their VMA's

Now, if you are as old as I am (if not older), you remember when MTV aired music videos 24/7. Over the last 4-9 years, MTV has become a major shell of itself. The network is saturated with Reality TV Shows about bratty teenage sluts, who don't know how to use birth control, down our throats. What's worse is MTV loves glorifying teen pregnancy, no thanks to the current management of the network. It's amazing how they can still keep the name "MTV," when they barely show MUSIC TELEVISION anymore.

Last year, the MTV VMA's were a joke. Anytime the artists, who were nominated, barely knew each other, you know the network has gone downhill. These last 2-4 years, I've had to literally YouTube artists and groups, who were nominated for each category.

If I didn't know any better, I would swear the MTV VMA's have become the next Teen Choice Awards, where you barely know, who the entertainers are. The last time there was a good VMA was in 2003.

2003 was the year before everyone in Hollywood became pretentious, self-righteous, wannabe political activists just like Rage Against The Machine by condemning our last president in almost every album they released.

The last 4-9 years have also been swarming with mostly tone deaf, talentless hacks like Rihanna and Katy Perry, to only name 2 examples.

1999 ended the '90s and the 20th Century with historic MTV VMA performances. The 1999 MTV VMA's had a decent variety of Pop, Rock, Hip-Hop, Rap, and R&B.

Music as a whole was still fairly decent in 2003. Soon, music and entertainment in general took HUGE nosedives by 2004. With that being said, I decided to make this Song Saturday blog an MTV VMA Special, before MTV and music overall completely died. These were the performances I enjoyed during 1999 and 2003:

1) I used to really like Kid Rock, during my teenage years. That was until he ruined Metallica's "Sad But True" and turned it into "American Bad Ass." I also lost respect for Kid Rock the moment he broke Guy Code. He stole a skanky, porn star/former groupie like Pamela Anderson away from Tommy Lee. Considering that those 2 were friends and collaborated together on songs, that was just low.

Kid Rock [Featuring Run D.M.C. & Aerosmith] "Bawitdaba"/"Walk This Way" 1999 MTV VMA's

2) I really enjoyed the 1999 MTV VMA's. At that time, Rock Music still had a place on the network. Old School KoRn won their very first Moon Man and those of us in high school during 1999 had a chance to watch Johnny Depp present Nine Inch Nails' performance of "The Fragile", which made it even better. For some of us, that was like hitting The Jackpot. Watching both Johnny Depp AND  Trent Reznor on stage together at once definitely had me squealing like a schoolgirl on the inside.

Nine Inch Nails "The Fragile" 1999 MTV VMA's

3) TLC performing their song, "No Scrubs" was another favorite. The trio was in a sense, forced to lip-synch most of their performance because it is difficult trying to do major dancing, while singing. Talk about being winded. The best part of TLC's performance was at the end.

The soon to be late Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, took the center of the stage and began rapping. The audience went INSANE once they started playing a sample of 2 Live Crew's "Too Much Booty In Da Pants." I'd like to see that stupid, spoiled brat, Miley Cyrus try twerking her scrawny ass to some 2 Live Crew.

For some reason, this performance is suddenly muted in the YouTube video above. Below is the unmuted version of TLC's performance.

The Unmuted Performance

The 2000 and 2001 MTV VMA's had some decent performances as well. Meanwhile, I barely even watched it in 2002 because it mostly sucked. 2003 slightly redeemed the MTV VMA's.

4) The 2003 MTV VMA's is highly remembered for Madonna, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Missy Elliott's opening performance.

The moment their performance began, there was a lot of tension, that RADIATED from the audience. The camera crew made SURE to zoom in on Eminem, 50 Cent, Avril Lavigne, Kelly Osbourne, Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg a.k.a. "Snoop Lion," and of course, Justin Timberlake. Literally a handful of those celebutards always HATED Britney and Christina.

It was not until 2002, that Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake broke up. Years later, he remained bitter about the way his relationship with Britney ended.

Let be know that Eminem, Avril Lavigne, and Kelly Osbourne always hated Britney without a valid reason. That's unless cattiness counts?

It's highly visible, that a handful of them had a major problem with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera performing Madonna's "Like A Virgin."

Madonna sensually kissing Britney and Christina was the most controversial moment from the 2003 MTV VMA performance. Of course the media LOVES ignoring the fact, that Madonna also kissed Christina.

The media placed a major emphasis on the kiss because Britney Spears had recently broken up with Justin Timberlake in 2002.

Supposedly, she cheated on Justin with their former dance choreographer, Wade Robson. That soon led to Justin throwing Britney under the bus for LYING about her virginity.

Meanwhile, Christina Aguilera performed twice in the same night at the 2003 MTV VMA's. However, her 2nd performance was with Redman and Dave Navarro.

I vaguely remember their performance and barely saw it the first time around. I was in the middle of doing last minute packing because my 2nd college 10 years ago, made fucked up, last minute changes to my housing arrangements, BEFORE college started again.

As I was saying, Madonna kissing Britney Spears the night of the 2003 MTV VMA's was the biggest slap in the face to Justin Timberlake. Those working at MTV laughed about it on TV.

Welp, this concludes my Song Saturday for this weekend. Let me know what you think!

Song Saturday: J-Pop And J-Rock Music Block

This blog was originally published on Blogster August 2, 2013.

How's it going Xangans and Blogsterians? This week, I am going a slightly different route for Song Saturday here at Blogster. So, I chose to share some popular J-Pop and J-Rock music videos.

Most of these songs have been featured in Anime such as NANA, Jigoku Shojo (Hell Girl), Vampire Knight, and Death Note. I am unsure if Girugamesh ever had their song, "Volcano" featured in an Anime.

While watching the former music televsion network, IMF in 2006, the network introduced me to the J-Rock band's music video for their song, "Volcano."

IMF was abbreviated for the International Music Feed. It REALLY sucks that IMF no longer exists. It was a lot like the original MTV from the 1980's except it was a 24-hour international music televsion channel.

IMF was especially educational because viewers had the opportunity to learn about foreign entertainment, cultures, folklores, etc.

While sorting through my J-Pop and J-Rock music choices on YouTube, I struggled to find the Japanese music videos with English subtitles.

I constantly watched these music videos and wanted to share them on Blogster with the English subtitles. Then, everyone can undersand what they are saying.

Here's some Japanese Music Trivia for you:

1) Olivia Lufkin's music has been used in both Anime and Japanese Dramas (J-Drama). Most of her songs were on the soundtrack to the Anime, NANA. Olivia's voice was also dubbed into the Anime for the character, Layla Serizawa.

NANA is a Josei (Womens) Anime about romance and rival J-Rock bands. If you ever have the chance, I recommend watching it.

2) Mamiko Noto is not only a singer, but also a voice actress. In fact, she has done the Japanese voice for the protagoniat Ai Enma in the Shojo Supernatural Horror Mystery Anime, Jigoku Shojo (Hell Girl).

I have watched all 3 seasons of the Anime and Mamiko normally did the ending theme songs for the Hell Girl franchise.

In fact, this music video for her song, "Karinui" (Basting) was the original ending theme song for the Anime and has the Ai Enma doll.

In a sense, Mamiko Noto's giving a nod to the protagonist she voiced in Hell Girl. Damn, is that doll creepy!

3) Kanon Wakeshima's songs were used as ending themes for the Shojo Horror Action Anime franchise, Vampire Knight. "Suna No Oshiro" (Sand Castle) was featured as the ending theme song for Vampire Knight: Guilty.

4) I think the Japanese Rock band, Nightmare is famous for being used in the Shonen Supernatural Thriller Mystery Anime, Death Note.

During Season 1, "The World" was Death Note's original opening theme song. All the while, "Alumina" was the ending theme song. I ALWAYS favored Nightmare's song, "Alumina" over "The World."

5) When I originally saw this J-Rock band, Girugamesh on TV with their music video, "Volcano," I remember how they really blew me away.

BTW: Girugamesh is the Japanese romanization for the ancient Sumerian king/demigod, Gilgamesh.
